MARTIN, RUGER REP ALASKA BEAR HUNT 2010

| Last month ,Ruger sent me to Alaska on a moose hunt. My childhood friend, George Camille was able to accompany me as well as a film crew from Orion Multimedia--the producers for "Ruger Adventures" shown on Versus TV. It proved to be a disasterous trip on many fronts, yet on day 9 my luck changed and the trip finished strong. No moose! yet I took this one with a single heart shot at 350 yards using a Model 77 chambered in 375 Ruger. It turns out that he is the largest Mountain Grizzly [inland- not Brown Bear] shot in Alaska this year according to Fish & game. Approx 30 years old-- made the B&C book. 35 miles NNW of Mt. McKinley---85 miles from nearest road. |
